Beijing, May 1, 2025 – A new project aimed at promoting healthy aging through Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and providing essential healthcare resources to families across China has been launched in Beijing. The Healthy Homes, Healthy Aging – TCM Healthcare for Families initiative was unveiled at a ceremony organized by the China Marriage and Family Research Association and the China Senior Citizen Sports Association. The event was supported by the China Family Education Society and co-organized by Beijing Tongrentang Co., Ltd., with the Heart-to-Heart Campaign Project Office undertaking the implementation.
The core of the initiative revolves around equipping families with the knowledge and resources to manage their health proactively, particularly focusing on the needs of the elderly. A key component of the project is the promotion of a Mind-Clearing and Meridian-Activating Exercise, designed to improve cognitive function and promote physical well-being among seniors.
The Healthy Homes, Healthy Aging project aims to address the growing healthcare needs of China’s aging population by integrating TCM principles into everyday family life. By providing access to essential medicines and promoting healthy lifestyle practices, the initiative seeks to empower families to take a more active role in the health and well-being of their elderly members.
The project represents a collaborative effort between research institutions, healthcare providers, and community organizations, highlighting the importance of a multi-faceted approach to addressing the challenges of an aging society. It is expected to have a significant impact on improving the quality of life for seniors and promoting a culture of healthy aging across the nation.
