近日，交通运输部所属福建海事局、东海救助局共同实施了2024年台湾海峡海上巡航执法行动。此次行动历时30.5小时，巡航总里程达到413海里，覆盖范围比往年更广，到达了台湾海峡中部以东2海里的范围内，最南端到达了台湾浅滩。

Recently, the Fujian Maritime Safety Administration and the East China Sea Search and Rescue Bureau under the Ministry of Transport jointly conducted the 2024 Taiwan Strait Maritime Patrol and Law Enforcement Action. This operation lasted 30.5 hours and covered a total distance of 413 nautical miles, with a wider coverage than in previous years, extending to within 2 nautical miles east of the central part of the Taiwan Strait and reaching as far south as the Taiwan Bank.
It is understood that the purpose of this operation is to enhance the maritime management agencies’ ability to control maritime traffic and respond to emergencies in the Taiwan Strait. Before this, maritime departments have already achieved routine law enforcement patrols in the waters near Jinmen, and this operation marks a further extension of this “routine” enforcement.
The vessels involved in this mission included the “Haiyan 06,” “Haiyan 0802,” and “Donghai Jiu 115,” which are equipped with the most advanced monitoring equipment, capable of all-weather, all-round observation, monitoring, search, and evidence collection, as well as powerful integrated data exchange, communication coordination, and joint command capabilities across “land, sea, air, and space.” The “Haiyan 06,” as the first large-scale patrol and rescue ship in the Taiwan Strait, is currently the largest and most advanced public vessel, while the “Haiyan 0802” and “Donghai Jiu 115” have also played significant roles in emergency and offshore rescue.
The importance of this maritime patrol and law enforcement action lies in the fact that the Taiwan Strait is one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes, with high vessel traffic and dense navigation routes. The Taiwan Strait not only serves as an important passage between the eastern and western coasts but also acts as a convergence point for numerous north-south routes.
