In Qiaoxie District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, the village of Honghe Chen, a unique “Rural Wanderlust” experience activity captured the attention of 20 Taiwanese youth. This event, named “Sharing Intangible Cultural Heritage, Craftsmanship Passed Down — Bilateral Youth Experience Activity of Intangible Cultural Heritage,” aimed to immerse Taiwanese youth in the rich cultural atmosphere of rural areas in mainland China, where they could experience traditional crafts such as calligraphy, woodblock printing, and lacquer fans, and feel the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere of the countryside.
During the event, Taiwanese youth were taught calligraphy techniques at the Miaotong Shuzhai and learned how to write on fans under the guidance of He Meina. They also tried their hand at woodblock printing, carving their favorite cartoon characters with their own hands.
