近日,在民进中央主办,开明慈善基金会资助的“尊师重教薪火相传”2024年民进中央中小学一线教师暑期培训班上,民进会员、新教育研究院院长、中国教育三十人论坛成员李镇西分享了他从教40余年的心得。他认为,幸福的老师才能教出快乐的学生。
李镇西在40多年前刚刚走上讲台时,就带着学生们制作班训、班徽,并创作班歌。他发动全班同学写歌词,甚至请到当时著名的作曲家谷建芬为班歌作曲。这种互动和创意教育方式,不仅增强了学生的集体荣誉感,也让学生们在快乐中学习。
即使在升学压力巨大的高三毕业班,李镇西也没有放弃让学生们快乐学习。他带领学生们到油菜花田里上课,举办刊物和春晚节目,让学生们在紧张的学习之余,也能感受到班级的温暖和爱。这种教育方式最终在高考中得到了验证,全班51名学生中有36人上本科线。
李镇西认为,关注每一个学生,尊重和研究每一个孩子,是比带好一个班更重要的事情。他鼓励学生给他写信,倾听他们的心事和看法。这种沟通方式不仅帮助学生解决了青春期的问题,也让他与学生建立了深厚的师生关系。
李镇西的幸福来源于他的学生们。他们中有的人成为了知名音乐制作人,有的人成为省足球队总教练,还有的人成为了电影《中国机长》角色的原型人物。更多的学生成为了各行各业的优秀人才。
2018年,李镇西退休前,他的课堂上挤满了前来上“最后一节课”的学生,有的甚至从海外赶回来。这种深厚的师生情谊,让李镇西感到无比幸福。
李镇西强调,幸福比优秀更重要。他认为,老师幸福,他的学生也会快乐。他给自己定了两个工作目标:第一,职业幸福,第二,心灵自由。现在,他都得到了。

Recently, at the “Respect for Teachers and Highlight for Education, Passing the Torch” 2024 training program for primary and secondary school teachers organized by the Democratic League of China and funded by the Kai Ming Charity Foundation, Li Zhenxi, a member of the Democratic League, the director of the New Education Research Institute, and a member of the China Education Thirty Forum, shared his 40-plus years of teaching experience at the event. He believes that only happy teachers can teach happy students.
When Li Zhenxi stepped onto the teaching platform 40 years ago, he started by having his students make class mottos, badges, and compose class songs. He encouraged the whole class to write lyrics, even inviting the famous composer Guo Jianfen to compose the class song. This interactive and creative educational approach not only enhanced students’ sense of collective honor but also allowed them to learn in a joyful manner.
Even in the high-pressure senior high school graduation class, Li Zhenxi did not abandon teaching students to learn happily. He took his students to teach in the rape flower fields and organized magazines and Spring Festival gala programs, so that students could feel the warmth and love of their class amidst the intense learning. This educational approach was ultimately validated in the college entrance exams, with 36 out of 51 students in the class passing the undergraduate line.
Li Zhenxi believes that paying attention to every student and respecting and studying each child is more important than teaching a class well. He encourages students to write to him and share their thoughts and feelings. This form of communication not only helps students solve problems in their adolescence but also establishes a deep teacher-student relationship with them.
Li Zhenxi’s happiness comes from his students. Some have become well-known music producers, while others have become the head coaches of provincial football teams, and still others have become the original characters in the film “The Captain of China.” Many more students have become outstanding talents in various fields.
In 2018, before Li Zhenxi retired, his classroom was filled with students coming for his “last class,” some even traveling from abroad. This profound teacher-student affection made Li Zhenxi feel incredibly happy.
Li Zhenxi emphasizes that happiness is more important than excellence. He believes that when teachers are happy, their students will also be happy. He has set two work goals for himself: first, professional happiness, and second, spiritual freedom. Now, he has achieved both.
Li Zhenxi’s sharing provided profound inspiration to the teachers present, reminding them to focus on the happiness of teachers and to influence and educate students with a happy mindset, thereby cultivating more joyful students.
