中国新闻网报道，8月10日，2024年全国“我们的节日·七夕”主题文化活动在西和县正式启动，标志着这一传统节日文化的传承与弘扬。甘肃陇南市西和县作为示范活动地之一，与山东沂源县、河南卢氏县、湖北孝感市、广东天河区珠村、江西九江市同步启动了主题文化活动。
陇南作为华夏文明的重要发源地之一，拥有丰富的历史文化、红色文化和民俗文化，而起源自先秦的“乞巧”民俗，被誉为“中国乞巧文化的活化石”，是全国七夕文化中最独特的存在。陇南市委副书记蒋小丽在致辞中表示，乞巧民俗不仅承载着中华民族的悠久历史和深厚的文化内涵，也表达着人们对美好爱情的向往。
西和县委副书记、县长杨彦在活动中提到，西和乞巧以浓郁的乡土气息、鲜明的地方特色，寄托着人们对美好生活的向往，引领着家庭美德和良好家风的培育养成。乞巧活动从农历七月初一前夜开始至七月初七深夜结束，分为坐巧、迎巧、祭巧、拜巧、娱巧、卜巧、送巧七个环节，已历经2000多年，是全国范围内时间最长、规模最大、参与人数最多的民俗活动之一。
此次主题文化活动由中宣部文明实践局、民政部社会事务司、文旅部非遗司、共青团中央宣传部、全国妇联宣传部、中国文联文艺志愿服务中心指导，甘肃省委宣传部等6部门主办，陇南市委、市政府承办，西和县委县政府协办。通过这一活动，旨在加深人们对七夕节文化认同和价值认同，传承和弘扬中华优秀传统文化，展现中华民族的独特魅力。

Content: According to China News Service, on August 10, 2024, the nationwide “Our Festival – Qixi” themed cultural event was officially launched in Xihou County, marking the beginning of the promotion and inheritance of this traditional festival culture. As one of the demonstration activity locations, Xihou County in Longnan City, Gansu Province, initiated the theme cultural activities simultaneously with Yi’ou County in Shandong, Lucheng County in Henan, Xiang’an District in Hubei, Zhu Village in Tianhe District, Guangdong, and Jiujiang City in Jiangxi.
Longnan, as one of the important cradles of Chinese civilization, boasts a rich tapestry of historical, cultural, and revolutionary heritage, as well as folk culture. The ancient custom of “Qiqiao,” which originated in the Zhou Dynasty, is celebrated as the “Living Fossil of Chinese Qiqiao Culture,” making it the most distinctive aspect of the Qixi culture nationwide. At the opening ceremony, Cui Xiaoqing, the Vice Secretary of the CPC Longnan Municipal Committee, stated that the Qiqiao custom not only embodies the long history and profound cultural connotations of the Chinese nation but also expresses people’s yearning for a beautiful love.
At the event, Yang Yan, the Vice Secretary of the Xihou County Committee and the County Magistrate, mentioned that the Qiqiao activities in Xihou, with their strong local flavor and distinct regional characteristics, convey people’s aspirations for a better life and lead the cultivation and formation of family virtues and good family traditions. The Qiqiao activities commence the night before the first day of the seventh lunar month and end at midnight of the seventh day, comprising seven segments: sitting Qiqiao, welcoming Qiqiao, worshipping Qiqiao, paying respects to Qiqiao, entertaining Qiqiao, divining Qiqiao, and sending Qiqiao, a tradition that has lasted for over 2,000 years and is one of the largest folk events nationwide in terms of duration, scale, and participant numbers.
The themed cultural event was guided by the Civilization Practice Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Social Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Publicity Department of the Communist Youth League, the Publicity Department of the All-China Women’s Federation, and the Cultural Volunteer Service Center of the China Writers’ Association. It was hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and six other departments, with the co-sponsorship of the CPC Longnan Municipal Committee, Municipal Government, and the Xihou County Committee and County Government.
