Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, August 2 (Xinhua) — A conference to boost high-quality development of Jinhua with the help of Zhejiang businessmen was held in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, on August 2. The event aimed to discuss how innovation can drive the high-quality development of Jinhua City.
At the conference, innovation emerged as a high-frequency word, highlighting the importance Zhejiang businessmen place on the future development of Jinhua.
Jinhua, a key origin of Zhejiang’s private economic development, boasts unique geographical advantages and abundant industrial resources. In recent years, Jinhua has achieved significant progress in innovation and technology, with a rapid increase in fixed assets investment and high-tech industry investment. As of the first half of this year, the number of registered market entities in Jinhua exceeded 1.918 million, an increase of 11.5% year-on-year, indicating strong market vitality and investment potential.
One of the representatives of Zhejiang businessmen, Li Deping, the chairman of Zhejiang Runma Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd., shared investment experience at the conference. The company planned to invest in the construction of a TOPCon high-efficiency battery and module factory in early 2022, after thorough investigation and analysis, choosing Jinhua as the investment location. In 2023, the company signed an investment agreement with Jin’an New District of Jinhua City and achieved significant results, with the first phase of the project fully put into production and sales revenue reaching 1.3 billion yuan.
The Zhejiang University Jinhua Institute, as a key project of the Zhejiang Central Innovation Corridor, has introduced 309 professionals and 60 high-level talents since its establishment in 2021, incubated or introduced 52 tech companies, and applied for over 100 patents. The institute focuses on research and innovation in areas such as biomedical and smart healthcare, intelligent perception, and intelligent optoelectronics, aiming to build a high-level scientific research platform.
