Dragon Boat Festival, one of China’s traditional festivals, carries a rich cultural connotation. On this special day, an exciting dragon boat competition was held in Fengxian District, Shanghai, attracting international students from various universities in the Yangtze Delta region.
The 2024 “Feel China” – The 14th Shanghai Universities International Students Dragon Boat Competition and the Second Yangtze Delta Universities International Students Dragon Boat Invitation Tournament opened on the Tonghai Lake of Fudan University’s Fengxian campus on May 25th. A total of 34 teams from international students from universities across Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Anhui, including Fudan University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and University of Science and Technology of China, gathered to experience this vibrant and challenging sports event.
The competition site was filled with excitement. International students donned traditional dragon boat attire and rowed fiercely, showcasing their love for Chinese culture and enthusiasm for traditional Chinese festivals. The dragon boat race was not only a sports competition but also a cultural exchange event, allowing international students to experience the charm of traditional Chinese festivals in the competition.
