Shenzhen, China – Elecrow, a company specializing in open-source hardware, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for its latest development and learning kit, the CrowPi 3. Designed for AI programming education and development, the CrowPi 3 is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5 and Arduino Nano, making it a versatile tool for both beginners and experienced developers.

The CrowPi 3 integrates a 4.3-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 800×480, speakers, and a 2-megapixel camera with a microphone. The device weighs approximately 1.1 kg, making it portable and easy to use in various settings.

The basic kit includes essential accessories such as an infrared remote control, a pre-installed SD card, a card reader, and RFID tags. The advanced kit expands on this with a development motherboard, dual game controllers, and NFC tags. This allows users to connect external sensors and utilize integrated modules like the ultrasonic sensor for AI applications such as object recognition.

The CrowPi 3 development kit comes with courses covering AI voice chat/control, image/video generation, and object detection/tracking. Currently available on Kickstarter, the CrowPi 3 is priced at $159 USD (approximately 1143 RMB at the current exchange rate). Shipping is expected to begin in August.

This new kit aims to provide an accessible and comprehensive platform for learning and experimenting with AI, particularly for those interested in the Raspberry Pi ecosystem. The integrated hardware and software resources make it an attractive option for educators, students, and hobbyists alike.
