Seoul, South Korea – May 29, 2024 – Popular South Korean singer-songwriter IU has released the music video for Beauty (美人), a track from her third remake album, Flower Bookmark 3. The music video, which premiered at midnight on May 29th, features actor and singer Cha Eun-woo.
According to EDAM Entertainment, IU’s agency, this is the second music video released from the album, following the lead single Never Ending Story. The music video depicts a redemption story that transcends time, with Cha Eun-woo portraying a handsome male lead and IU as a shadowed girl.
Beauty is a remake of the classic song of the same name by Shin Joong-hyun, a legendary figure in Korean rock music. The track was rearranged by the band Balming Tiger. Lee Su-ho, a member of Balming Tiger, directed the music video, with another member, San Yawn, also participating in the production.
The release of the Beauty music video has already generated significant buzz online, with fans praising the song’s fresh take on a classic and the captivating visuals featuring IU and Cha Eun-woo. The collaboration between IU and Balming Tiger also highlights IU’s continued willingness to experiment with different musical styles and collaborate with diverse artists.
