Seoul, South Korea – Jin Air, the low-cost carrier (LCC) subsidiary of Korean Air, announced on April 29th that it will resume its Incheon-Qingdao route on May 30th. This marks the return of a vital connection between South Korea and China after a hiatus of over two years.
The Incheon-Qingdao route was suspended in March 2023 due to issues related to local time slot availability. The resumption of this service signifies a positive development for both business and leisure travel between the two countries.
Starting May 30th, Jin Air will operate one round-trip flight daily. Flights departing from Incheon International Airport are scheduled for 1:50 PM, with the exception of Thursday flights, which will depart at 12:15 PM. Return flights from Qingdao will depart at 4:00 PM.
This resumption of service by Jin Air follows other recent developments aimed at increasing connectivity between South Korea and China. These include the resumption of passenger services on the Incheon-Dandong ferry route after five years and increased flight frequencies by other airlines.
