SEATTLE, WA – Amazon Web Services (AWS) has officially launched Nova Premier, the apex predator of its Nova family of AI models. Integrated directly into Amazon Bedrock, Nova Premier boasts impressive capabilities, including support for text, image, and video inputs, and a staggering million-token context window, positioning it as a powerhouse for complex task management and multi-agent collaboration.

This isn’t just another large language model; Nova Premier is designed to be a teacher model, capable of significantly optimizing the performance of its siblings, Nova Pro, Lite, and Micro, through model distillation. Early results show a compelling 20% increase in API call accuracy for distilled models.

A Super Brain for Multi-Agent Collaboration

Nova Premier, like its counterparts Nova Lite and Pro, accepts text, image, and video inputs (excluding audio). However, its true strength lies in its ability to process vast amounts of information thanks to its million-token context window. This allows it to tackle complex tasks that require deep contextual understanding, multi-step planning, and precise execution across multiple tools and data sources. Crucially, the distilled Nova Pro retains the speed and cost advantages of the original while exhibiting performance levels closer to the more powerful Premier model.

Benchmark Performance: A Leader in its Class

Rigorous benchmark testing across a range of tasks, including text understanding, visual intelligence, and intelligent agent workflows, has solidified Nova Premier’s position as the highest-performing model in the Nova family. Across 17 benchmarks, Nova Premier demonstrated performance comparable to some of the industry’s leading non-inference models.
