Guangzhou, China – April 7, 2024 – Xpeng Motors, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has released official images of its highly anticipated 2025 X9 model. The all-electric minivan is set to make its global debut and commence pre-sales tomorrow, April 8th, at 14:00 (China Standard Time). The X9 promises a blend of futuristic design, advanced technology, and family-friendly practicality.

The released images showcase the X9 in a range of six distinct color options: Starship Grey, Nebula Purple, Galaxy Blue, Crescent Silver, Midnight Black, and Nebula White. Notably, Starship Grey, Nebula Purple, and Galaxy Blue are brand new additions to the Xpeng color palette, each with its own unique character:

Starship Grey: This color, symbolizing a protective armor for families, utilizes a natural mica pearlescent aluminum powder paint, creating a ceramic-like texture with delicate light and shadow effects.
Nebula Purple: Inspired by romance and the spirit of exploration, Nebula Purple features a multi-layered pearlescent paint that offers a more three-dimensional luster than gemstones.
Galaxy Blue: Representing dreams of innocence and bravery, Galaxy Blue employs a soft metallic paint, evoking the image of a mobile space capsule navigating the vast cosmos.

The current Xpeng X9 model, already available in the market, boasts dimensions of 5293mm in length, 1988mm in width, and 1785mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3160mm. It is priced between RMB 359,800 and RMB 419,800.

Under the hood, the existing X9 is equipped with a dual-motor setup, delivering a maximum power output of 235kW at the front and 135kW at the rear, with a peak torque of 640N・m. This powertrain allows for a swift 0-100km/h acceleration in just 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 200km/h.

Powering the X9 is either an 84.5kWh or a 101.5kWh battery pack, offering CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 610km, 640km, and 702km, respectively. The vehicle also features an 800V high-voltage SiC (silicon carbide) platform, enabling rapid charging capabilities, adding 300km of range in just 10 minutes.

The 2025 Xpeng X9 is poised to further solidify Xpeng’s position in the competitive electric vehicle market.
