Beijing, February 22, 2025 – Xiaomi is set to release a new smart speaker, the Smart Speaker Pro, powered by an upgraded voice assistant called Super Xiao Ai, according to Xiaomi Group Partner and President Lu Weibing during a live streaming event tonight. This enhanced AI will not only support multi-turn conversations and control smart home appliances but will also allow users to remotely control their vehicles.
The Xiaomi Smart Speaker Pro is already available for pre-order on the e-commerce platform JD.com, with promotional materials highlighting it as a New Generation ‘Super Xiao Ai’ Smart Speaker. The device features a textured woven fabric design and a circular light strip where the fabric meets the top panel. This design suggests that the light strip will likely be used for volume indication and status alerts, consistent with previous Xiaomi smart speaker designs.
Furthermore, the new speaker is expected to feature physical buttons on the top panel for volume adjustment and playback control.
Xiaomi Group CMO Xu Fei previously hinted at the upcoming Dual Ultra product launch event at the end of the month, which will include new central air conditioners, washing machines, Xiao Ai speakers, and new Redmi products.
