Beijing, February 14, 2024 – Feiniu Private Cloud fnOS, a domestic Network Attached Storage (NAS) system, announced yesterday the rollout of updates for its multimedia applications, including the System Video and TV apps. The updates, version v0.8.30 for System Video and v1.0.4 for the TV app, aim to enhance user experience and address performance issues.

The updates come as NAS systems are becoming increasingly popular for home entertainment and personal data storage. Users rely on these systems to stream high-quality video content, often in its original, uncompressed format. However, playing high-resolution videos can be resource-intensive, leading to high CPU usage and potential performance bottlenecks.

According to the official announcement, the Feiniu Private Cloud fnOS updates focus on optimizing resource management during video playback, specifically targeting the high CPU usage issue encountered when playing original quality videos. This optimization is a welcome improvement for users who demand the best possible viewing experience without sacrificing system performance.

The update log provided by IT Home details the specific improvements and bug fixes included in the update:

  • Optimized (Web): Interaction experience for page forward and back navigation.
  • Optimized (Web): Resource release logic after playback ends.

These updates demonstrate Feiniu’s commitment to improving its fnOS system and providing users with a smoother and more reliable multimedia experience. By addressing the high CPU usage issue and resolving various bugs, Feiniu is enhancing the value proposition of its NAS solution.

The updates are now available for download and installation through the Feiniu Private Cloud fnOS system. Users are encouraged to update their systems to benefit from these improvements.
