Beijing, February 9, 2024 – Deepal Motors, a rising star in China’s electric vehicle (EV) market, announced plans to integrate the DeepSeek model into its DEEPAL OS 3.0 operating system. The announcement, made at the company’s full-scenario intelligent driving solution launch event, signals Deepal’s commitment to enhancing its vehicles’ intelligent capabilities. The company anticipates pushing the DEEPAL OS 3.0 upgrade to all its models within the first quarter of this year.
According to Deepal Motors CEO Deng Chenghao, the integration of the DeepSeek model will bring a new level of intelligence to the DEEPAL OS 3.0 system. While specific details about the DeepSeek model’s functionalities within the OS remain undisclosed, the move suggests a focus on improving areas such as natural language processing, voice recognition, and potentially advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
The announcement follows the earlier unveiling of new versions of the Deepal S07 and L07 models, featuring both AD PRO and Huawei’s Qiankun ADS SE autonomous driving systems. The Deepal S07 AD PRO starts at RMB 169,900, while the Huawei Qiankun ADS SE version is priced at RMB 179,900. The Deepal L07 AD PRO starts at RMB 151,900, and the Huawei Qiankun ADS SE version at RMB 163,900.
Deepal also showcased the Deepal S09, a flagship full-size SUV equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system and a customized HarmonySpace intelligent cockpit. The S09 is slated to be among the first vehicles to receive the latest generation of Huawei’s Qiankun ADS system.
The integration of the DeepSeek model and the continued collaboration with Huawei highlight Deepal’s strategic approach to leveraging advanced technologies to enhance its EV offerings. The company’s focus on intelligent driving and user experience positions it to compete in the increasingly competitive Chinese EV market.
