GreenLink’s G908 mouse has passed the StarFlashAlliance certification, hinting at an imminent launch. The news, reported by IT Home on October 6th, 2024, follows a pattern of productsreceiving StarFlash certification shortly before their release. While GreenLink has yet to unveil the mouse’s design or specifications, past StarFlash-enabled devices have showcasednotable improvements in latency and polling rates.
For instance, the Thunderobot ML903 StarFlash mouse boasts a wireless latency of approximately 250 microseconds and a 4KHz polling rate.
Huawei introduced theNearLink technology, dubbed StarFlash, in August 2023. This innovative wireless connectivity technology combines the strengths of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, offering a unified standard suitable for various applications, including consumer electronics, smart homes,electric vehicles, and industrial manufacturing.
Previously, StarFlash devices lacked interoperability between different brands. However, at this year’s Huawei HDC 2024 developer conference, this issue began to be addressed. Notably, Betop has announced successful interoperability testing with Huawei StarFlash products, becoming the firstgamepad brand to achieve direct connection with StarFlash devices.
The G908 mouse’s certification suggests that GreenLink is poised to enter the burgeoning StarFlash ecosystem. This move could significantly enhance the user experience, offering low latency and high responsiveness for gamers and professionals alike. With the growing adoption of StarFlash technologyand the increasing interoperability between brands, the future of wireless connectivity seems promising.
