The official response, published on the Cover News website, stated unequivocally that no businesses are charging fees for access to public areas on Dragon Spring Mountain.The scenic spots are open to all, free of charge.
The confusion arose from a specific location: the Shanyin Chuxiao Camping Base in Taoyuan Village, Shanquan Town. This privately owned facility offersamenities such as seating, tea, and hot water, for which they charge a fee.
The photo shared by the netizen showing a ‘paid entrance’ is actually the entrance to this camping base, the statement explained. The public areas for viewing sunrise and sunset on Dragon Spring Mountain are all free of charge.
The authorities emphasized that the public should be aware of the difference between private businesses offering services and public areas accessible to all. They assured visitors that the stunning sunrises over Dragon Spring Mountain remain a free and accessible experience for everyone.
