Seoul, July 4 (Yonhap) – The South Korean government has successfully assisted another group of its citizens and their families in evacuating from Iran to neighboring countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today. This latest effort comes amidst ongoing regional tensions and concerns for the safety of South Korean nationals residing in the country.
According to the ministry, a total of ten individuals, comprising South Korean citizens and their family members, were safely relocated with the government’s assistance. Three South Korean nationals and their families departed Iran via land routes at the end of last month, crossing the border into Turkmenistan. The remaining seven individuals were flown out of the country today, arriving safely in South Korea.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been actively providing consular support to ensure the safe departure of South Korean residents in Iran. This support includes arranging transportation, assisting with immigration procedures, securing accommodation, and providing guidance on flight options back to South Korea.
