Seoul, South Korea – Chung Mong-gyu, Chairman of the Hyundai Development Company (HDC) Group and President of the Korean Football Association (KFA), met with Chinese Ambassador to South Korea, Dai Bing, on March 5th to discuss strengthening friendly cooperation between the two nations. This was announced by HDC Group on March 10th.

The meeting, held at the Chinese Embassy in Seoul, saw the participation of key figures including Kim Hoi-yeon, President of HDC Group, and Chung Kyung-koo, President of HDC. During the discussions, Chung Mong-gyu briefed Ambassador Dai on HDC Group’s ongoing business operations and investment projects in China, proposing closer exchanges and cooperation across various sectors.

Ambassador Dai congratulated Chung on his successful fourth consecutive term as President of the KFA. Chung expressed his hope that the East Asian Football Championship, scheduled for July this year, would further enhance friendship between the two countries.

This meeting highlights the ongoing efforts to foster stronger ties between South Korea and China, leveraging both business and sporting connections to promote mutual understanding and cooperation. The emphasis on the East Asian Football Championship as a platform for friendship underscores the potential of sports diplomacy in strengthening international relations.
